Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is an Mexican American journalist. She is currently an ESPN sportscaster. ESPN and is anchor for SportsCenter reports and hosts SportsNation. The first time she worked for ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been a bilingual since she was nine years old, a valuable ability that allowed her to secure her first job in the production department for Univision in Miami and allowed her to work with the producers of national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. In St. Petersburg, she was recruited to the CBS station to work as the sports reporter. In 2009, she relocated from Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she began her news reporting on KNVO TV 48 Univision. The stories she covered were about illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking across both Texas as well as Mexico. The duties of anchoring on sports and weather was regularly requested. Then she anchor and wrote at Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was assigned more responsibility. In Mexico City she was conceived on November 22nd 1985. There is a sister. She is the older sister. Her parents divorced soon after and, in 1995, she married an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. While on a vacation, Antonietta stayed at the house of her sister Canton Ohio. Her older Collins brother had recently been offered a new job. As a senior at high school, but having a clear vision of about what she wanted to pursue in her future, Antonietta went to the University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her needs. The campus was beautiful as well as offered the level of education she wanted. She graduated from school and was went to the university with a media studies major. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU, of which she is a member. They developed a close friendship. Professor Bergmann encouraged her to believe in herself and was deeply touched by his passion for journalism.
